Job OverviewK2 Recruit is seeking a qualified, highly motivated, and experienced Tax Consultant on behalf of a well-established Financial Services organisation with a substantial client base of High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs) and Private Clients.This role is suited to a tax professional with strong South African tax compliance experience, particularly in individual taxation, SARS engagement, and foreign tax clearance processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the day-to-day tax requirements of clients, while also supporting the growth and development of the tax advisory function within the business.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of South African tax legislation, practical experience working with SARS eFiling, and exposure to tax emigration administration and foreign tax clearance applications. Key ResponsibilitiesCalculate provisional tax payments and complete IRP6 provisional tax returns.Liaise with SARS on behalf of clients and manage applications for foreign tax clearance.Prepare and submit individual income tax returns via SARS eFiling.Manage financial emigration administration and related tax compliance processes.Review SARS assessments, calculate taxable income, and determine estimated tax liabilities or refunds.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes to the Income Tax Act, SARS legislation, and updates to SARS eFiling systems.Identify opportunities to expand and improve tax service offerings within the department.Review operational procedures to ensure compliance with South African tax regulations and statutory requirements.Implement improved policies and processes for collecting and managing tax-related information from clients.Provide leadership and support to junior staff, contributing to the growth and effectiveness of the tax function.
