Key
Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain milling,
perforating, and cutting machines to ensure optimal performance and
precision.Support the adoption of Lean Manufacturing
by continuously striving to eliminate waste, maximise efficiency, and
improve work quality.Contribute to achieving a Service Level
Agreement (SLA) of 98%.Adhere to standardised work processes to
reduce variations and minimise errors.Maintain a minimum Quality Yield of 95%
each month, ensuring defective products do not pass downstream.Implement changes within 72 hours of
receiving new initiatives.Follow Roemer’s 5S housekeeping principles
daily (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardise, Sustain).Utilise Kanban Boards to effectively
display production scheduling.Adhere to Safety, Health, and
Environmental (SHE) policies to contribute to a safe work environment.Prepare, set up, adjust, and monitor
milling, perforating, and cutting machines, ensuring all equipment is in
proper working order.Conduct regular maintenance and safety
checks on all machinery, focusing on milling, perforating, and cutting
operations.Perform deburring, honing, and finishing
of machined components as required.Participate in in-house training to gain a
comprehensive understanding of milling, perforating, and cutting machine
operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across all departments.
Qualifications and
Experience:
Proven experience as a Fitter and Turner,
specifically with milling, perforating, and cutting machines, within a
manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of machine functions,
maintenance, and troubleshooting, particularly in relation to milling,
perforating, and cutting operations.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
and the 5S methodology.Ability to read and interpret technical
drawings and specifications.Detail-oriented with a commitment to
quality and safety.Strong communication skills and the
ability to work effectively in a team.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team.
