Tool & Home is a growing retailer and distributor of quality tools and home improvement products. We focus on efficient operations, customer satisfaction, and data-driven decisions. We’re looking for an experienced Financial Manager to lead our finance team and support strategic business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
Report monthly financial performance and provide insights
Analyze data to support strategic decisions
Accounting & Compliance
Oversee accounting operations and ensure compliance
Handle month-end and year-end close
Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies
Insurance & Credit Applications
Manage insurance matters (claims, vehicles, stock)
Handle and process credit application forms
Creditors & Debtors Management
Supervise creditor processes, reconciliations, and payments
Manage debtors, issue statements, and follow up on payments
Payroll & HR
Process monthly payroll and maintain HR records
Support hiring and onboarding
Ensure compliance with HR policies
E-Commerce & Inventory
Reconcile Amazon and Takealot transactions
Coordinate stock takes and reconcile variances
Systems & Efficiency
Implement financial systems and improve processes
Use Xero, HubDoc, and Google Sheets for reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CIMA/CA preferred)
5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Proficiency in Xero, Excel, Google Sheets
Strong leadership and communication skills
Confident, independent, and proactive
