Vish Services (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Registered Quantity Surveyor to oversee various of our Quantity Surveyor projects on a 2 year renewable contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards. The candidate should excel in teamwork, be highly organised and able to define the project scope.Note: The contract is 2 years with an option to be permanent after 2 yearsOnly SACQSP Pr Registered Quantity Surveyors will be considered for the positionBenefitsSalary: R30,000 to R35,000 NetResponsibilitiesPrepare and review cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets.Assess and recommend cost-saving opportunities.Prepare and evaluate tender documents and contract terms.Support in procurement of subcontractors, materials, and suppliers.Assist in contract negotiations and compliance reviews.Monitor contract variations, change orders, and claims.Prepare and verify payment applications and final accounts.Track project budgets and cost forecasts.Conduct occasional site inspections to verify work progress and valuations.Ensure contractual compliance and adherence to specifications.Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks.Provide expert advice on project financial control and compliance.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with clients, contractors, and project teams.Provide reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.Attend virtual or in-person meetings as required.RequirementsSkills and Qualifications:BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent (i.e. B. Tech - Quantity Surveying)Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP)5 years of experience as a registered PrQS in the construction or infrastructure sector.PMP (Project Management Professional) with PMI (Project Management Institute) or equivalent will be advantageousTechnical Skills:Proficiency in cost estimation software (CCS Candy, WinQS, Excel, AutoCAD).Strong knowledge of JBCC contracts.Knowledge of South African building codes and regulations.Experience in contract management, cost control, and financial reporting.Prepares annual shut quantities reports (daily, weekly, monthly, close-out reports)Ensure alignment of contractor rates between Maintenance, Annual Shut, and projects / CapexDocuments RequiredPlease respond to the advert with your CV, Education Qualifications and SACQSP certificate for verification to jobs@vishservices.co.za.
