9.5″ Radius Pre-cut Nickel silver guitar fret wire set of 24 (2.4mm)24 Nickel silver frets, pre-cut. pre-radiused and end tangs nipped to make life easier for you. The length of the frets range from 43mm – 55mm, you must arrange them from shortest to longest before installing so you know which fret gets installed where. Most guitars have 21 or 22 frets, there are 2 extra so you can pick and choose the correct lengths, example: if your first fret is longer than 43mm then start with the next longest in the set. If your guitar has a flatter radius, like 12″ you can still use these frets if you have a fret hammer as they will bend to the shape of the fretboard. If your guitar has 24 frets then you need to make sure you measure your shortest fret to make sure it is not longer than 43mm and then measure your longest fret to make sure it is not longer than 55mm.Suitable for acoustic, bass or electric guitars. 2.4mm is known as medium. 2.7mm is known as medium-jumbo size. Most cheap electric guitars come with 2 or 2.2mm frets made from inferior alloys. Players prefer nickel silver medium frets due to it’s durability, longer lasting and better playing feel. 50g Blonde Shellac FlakesDewaxed and ready for use.Blonde Dewaxed Shellac Flakes produce a stunning golden brown French Polish that is perfectly suited for antique restoration and custom furniture production. The finish dries quickly and has a luxurious feel.French polishing – padding thin layers of shellac – is also the most traditional and widely acceptable finish for classical guitars and other musical instruments. French polished shellac finishes are thin and flexible, and are arguably the best finish for enhancing the tone of fine guitars. This finish is less protective or durable when compared to lacquers and synthetic finishes but its perceived better tone, natural tint and ease of repair outweigh this aspect.French polishing involves the use of a dilute solution of shellac and pure alcohol (50g Shellac per 250g Alcohol), that is applied in thin layers by hand with a specially prepared pad, cotton cloth or brush. There are small variations to the process and materials used that are widely accepted, so each instrument maker works to find the technique/process that yields the best results.Mixing Instructions:Add 50g of shellac flakes per 250g (or 320ml) of Ethanol Alcohol (NOT methylated spirits or thinners) and allow the shellac flakes to soak for a minimum of 24 hours or until all the shellac flakes have dissolved. Crushing the flakes before soaking can speed up this process. More shellac flakes or Ethanol may be added to adjust the strength according to your preference.Store in a cool dark place. Vintage Ivory Les Paul Pickguard 1plyLes Paul Pickguard Scratch PlateDesigned to fit Gibson* Les Paul guitars with 2 humbucker pickupsPlease note, pickguards may appear rough around the edges in the pictures but this is just the plastic protective cover that peels off There are many slight variations of the Les Paul pickguard, you get Standard 59, Custom, Studio, Modern and then you get Epiphone and other Les Paul copies that do not use the same spec or have larger pickup rings. There is no one pickguard that fits all Les Paul models but this pickguard is the one that fits most due to the fact that we have these specially cut for Valley Sound according to our measurements with slightly smaller pickup routs so that the customer can simply use a nail file if need be to get an exact fit.It is also impossible to get an exact colour match as this varies over models too but the consensus amongst the Gibson lovers is the more “natural” looking Ivory cream colour that is preferred rather than normal cream with slight darker tint.
