This exceptional 1963 example, finished in Seafoam White with a navy blue leather interior and straight-grain walnut accents, is a standout. Fitted with power-assisted steering and air conditioning, it was originally delivered to California, where it remained in single ownership for decades. In 2018, it was sold to a classic car dealer in the Netherlands before being acquired by a renowned Mercedes-Benz collector in 2019.

Every component was restored or refinished to concours-level quality, resulting in a car that not only looks showroom-new but also performs as intended. Powered by a 2.2-litre inline-six with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, the 220SE Coupe delivers 120 hp through either a 4-speed manual or optional automatic transmission. It accelerates from 0–60 mph in approximately 12 seconds and reaches a top speed of 105 mph — impressive figures for a refined luxury coupe of the period. Built in limited numbers — just 14,173 units between 1961 and 1965 — the 220SE Coupe was tailored for a discerning clientele who valued elegance over ostentation.
