Station and Lodge Manager
Salary: R45 000.00 to
R50 000.00 depending on working experience.
1. Requirements
Ø
Grade 12 Certificate + relevant Qualification.
Ø
8 to 10 years working experience as Garage and accommodation
Manager.
Ø
Microsoft word and excel Knowledge
Puma Garage is currently looking for a Service Station and Lodge Manager to
join their team in Bronkhorstspruit on a full-time basis, working weekdays from
4:00am to 3:30pm.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited
to:
1)
Resolving any operational problems, such as
tills, eftpos pumps or computers;
2)
Ensuring all cleaning and food preparation
duties in the kitchen and shop are followed.
3)
Performing cost effective staff management,
rostering duties, conduct training of new employees
4)
Checking fuel delivery cost, informing the owner
of any variation, and updating price information with the Government agency.
5)
Completing general paperwork, invoices, data
entry and record keeping.
6)
Ordering food, drinks, tobacco and other
products, overseeing the stock rotation process.
7)
Reviewing ordering strategies and monitoring
sales; and
8)
An understanding of all kitchen/cooking duties
and health & safety obligations.
Please note: The Manager is required to be contactable by
phone between 24 hours on weekdays, and on weekends in case of emergencies.
lodge tasks and duties
1)
The main duty of the lodge Manager will be to
generate money. An Annual Budget and Business Plan have to be developed.
2)
It is the duty of the lodge manager to install a
strong marketing profile including active approaches to tourism industry in
order to boost visitor numbers.
3)
The income and expenses should be monitored, and
the Annual Budget should be used as a guideline to manage the lodge.
4)
The lodge Manager must manage the lodge on a day-to-day
basis and ensure that tasks are implemented on time and according to the budget
and required scope and quality.
5)
The lodge Manager will have to manage all the
assets to its full potential in order to ensure a good income.
6)
Ensure quality standards for infrastructure and
technical maintenance of the lodge.
7)
All the lodge policies and laws of the country
should be monitored and enforced by the lodge Manager in alignment with Human
resources and Tourism grading’s.
8)
The lodge Manager will have to develop a long-
and short-term operational plan, to ensure the lodges sustainability as a
tourism attraction.
9)
It is the duty of the lodge Manager to set up a business
plan.
10)
It is also the duty of the lodge manager to do
selection of qualified staff.
