Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet both company and customer requirements. You will oversee the daily operations, ensuring production objectives, targets, and quality standards are met. Your key responsibilities will include:Coordinating and managing all production staff to ensure timely and high-quality production.Conducting regular meetings with machine setters to resolve issues, share information, and improve performance.Setting production targets (e.g., scrap %, absenteeism %, cycle time) and ensuring they are consistently met.Managing production schedules and resources to optimize the use of equipment and personnel.Ensuring all production work instructions (including flow charts, setting sheets, inspection instructions, etc.) are up to date and followed.Overseeing the ordering of raw materials and ensuring they are available when needed.Maintaining adherence to quality management and environmental systems, as well as ensuring workplace safety.Identifying and implementing continuous improvements in production processes, equipment, and tooling.Conducting periodic reviews to ensure production activities align with procedures and work instructions.Collaborating with the quality department to review and address non-conforming products and implement corrective actions.Providing leadership when the General Manager is unavailable, ensuring smooth operations.Analyzing performance data and preparing reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).Ensuring compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards.Supervising and training production staff, identifying skills gaps, and ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet production goals.What We Are Looking ForQualifications:Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate.Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing/Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.Experience:At least 5 years experience in injection moulding machine setting and optimization.At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.Proven experience in plastics manufacturing or similar industries is preferred.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience with databases and management data reporting.Strong knowledge of production processes, quality management systems (QMS), and environmental manag https://www.executiveplacements.com/Jobs/P/Production-Manager-1174858-Job-Search-05-21-2025-00-00-00-AM.asp?sid=gumtree

Qualifications:National Diploma (NDip)/equivalent certification in Mechanical Draughting, Multi-disciplinary Draughting or related field.2+ years draughting experience in the manufacturing industry.Advantageous skills/exposure to CAM software experience.Knowledge of CNC-machining equipment, programming and capabilities.Exposure to press-tooling design.Responsibilities:Generate detailed, accurate, product specific Manufacturing Data Packs (CAD model data, technical drawings and accompanying 2D/3D deliverables for manufacture).Maintain on-going product data management and Manufacturing Data Pack updates across product categories.Execute file and data management according to company-specific standards and conventions.Engage with production, QC and technical personnel to ensure technical data corresponds with updated production specifications.Execute and maintain multiple draughting exercises/tasks according to project briefings and deadlines.Effectively translate conceptual drawings or verbal briefing instructions into detailed technical drawings.Use industry-standard measurement apparatus to accurately measure physical product or tool components and recreate detailed technical drawings.Generate product Bills of material (BsOM) according to manufacturing specifications, for costing or production purposes.Maintain disciplined product-specific revision control.Adhere to and comply with company-specific Standard Operating Procedure specified for all draughting operations.Check and maintain a high standard of quality for all draughting-related work produced.Engage with procurement personnel and external suppliers regarding outsourced manufacturing work for research and development projects.Attend product development meetings and provide insight regarding product design alternatives or improvement solutions.Skills and competencies:Proficient in CAD software (preferably SolidEdge).Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).Awareness of the ISO standards for Mechanical drawings/draughtingAwareness of the importance of quality standards in the manufacturing industry.Acute understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Attention to detail and accuracy.Understanding of change management and revision control disciplines.Strong technical communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.Technical problem-solving skillsBasic knowledge of Press/draw-forming, Injection-moulding, CNC machining, Metal fabricationBasic understanding of steel and plastic engineering materials.Basic understanding of mechanical principles.Organisation and time management skills to meet task/project-specific deadlines.Ac https://www.executiveplacements.com/Jobs/M/Mechanical-Draughtsman-1187626-Job-Search-05-21-2025-04-30-29-AM.asp?sid=gumtree
