I have many garden harvested Chasmanthe floribunda, planted in 2.5 Liter/4kg bags, at a lower price than what wholesalers charge. The common name is Cobra lily or Kapelpypie (Afr.) They grow from underground corms (looks like bulbs to most people) and it is endemic to the coastal winter-rainfall areas of the Western Cape. The plants characteristics are:

Very hardy

Almost always disease and pest free

Very water wise and can grow in wild gardens that does not get watered

Produce beautiful orange flowers in succession from June to September

Grows in most sunny to semi-shade areas

Ideal for rockeries and interplanting with low-growing summer flowering plants

Corms multiply rapidly and plants are self-seeding

Attracts most Sunbirds, especially Malachite and Lesser double collared

The plants can be collected in Grabouw or in Gordon's Bay or otherwise can be delivered for a fee.
