Standard reinstall rate is R1500 ex VAT for most networks. Contractor normally asks for payment upfront to repair. Impossible to go and do an itemised quote for every reinstall required. Possible civils, new cable, call-out, splicing etc... I believe it is a fair price.

Mine was cut during renovation inside,in the end they said it wouldve been ~R1500 if they needed to reinstall because of insufficient slack
But since there was slack they could pull and splice,~R600 in the end with a new ONT
