Our client in the Construction Project Management industry is currently looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to be based in the Western Cape, Stellenbosch.Position: Junior Quantity Surveyor Location: Stellenbosch, Western CapeThe successful candidate must have:Matric with a B.Tech or B.Sc degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar qualificationMinimum of 1-3 years experience as a Quantity SurveyorExcellent computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects)· Experience in CCS will be an advantage.Familiar with relevant contracts and standards such as, JBCC 2000 Series, GCC (General Conditions of Contract),Ability to work independently and under pressure.Must have outstanding accuracy and attention to detail.Must have a valid drivers license.Must have own transport.Primary Roles and ResponsibilitiesPrepare elemental cost estimates based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labour involved.Prepare tender and contractual documents, including bills of quantities.Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.Management of Contract Instructions & Variation orders during Construction PhaseManagement of Fortnightly & Monthly Valuation & Payment Certificates during Construction PhaseMonitor and track project progress.
