I’m looking to sell my Francois Vivier designed Ebihen 16. This is a virtually new boat and was launched in November 2023. She was beautifully constructed from marine plywood (for the clinker hull and bulkheads, all cnc cut) and finished with sapele mahogany and westen red ceder for the decks. The seats and floors are purple heart, the gunnels sapele mahogany and the rubbing strakes mahogany. She sits on a trailer and is stored in a garage.The boat is designed in compliance with the European Recreative Directive 1994/25/CE. The boat is rated category C (with a maximum of 4 persons or 400 kg) or category D (with a maximum of 5 persons of 500 kg). She has positive buoyancy of 390 litres from SABS approved buoyancy bottles fitted in watertight compartments fore and aft.The ballast consists of 160 litres of water ballast plus the steel centerplate what weighs 38 kg.It also has a 6hp 4 stroke Suzuki in an inboard well. The motor has been used for less than 5 hours.The trailer was built by Talon Trailers in Cape Town.The total build cost of the boat was R 160 000. I am reducing the sales price to R 130 000 and will consider any reasonable offer.

It was on the hard until he launched it in 2010.The owner has been living aboard this Vessel for 20 years.Works done on the boat:Purchased a new Vetus engine 13 HP. (+- 2007)(Seller paid +- 28,000 for the new engine, cost today 115,000.) New propellor fittedEngine hardly been used. Replaced all valves on the boat of phospher bronze with stainless steel valves. All wiring was replaced and a new control panel with volt metre amp meter, main switch etc, was fitted.Recently fitted a two speaker stereo system.Wired the mast shrouding wires in clear plastic.New floor boards were fitted. A new toilet was installed.A welded platform to support 2 new solar panels of 50 watt each was erected.Strengthened fore deck with fibre glassed beams.Altered port side of cabin, removed bunk and fitted seats, table.Windows port and starboard replaced with special toughened glass...can see out but can't see in. The boat has not been off the mooring in 12 years.In June 2023 the boat was hauled out and anti-fouled.
