With major competitors like the Camaro, Firebird, Cougar, and a newly designed Barracuda emerging, Ford's Mustang GT Fastback faced stiff competition from 1967. Yet, despite the pressure, the company's design and engineering teams were determined to make the first major update to the Mustang a success. As the 1965 models debuted, they were already hard at work on the redesign. While the overall proportions remained similar, from 1967 Mustang had a more aggressive appearance with a larger grille, a hood that jutted forward, and sharply creased body lines. The distinctive concave tail lamp panel added to its bold and powerful look.
This 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback was in the same ownership for 10 years and also has a known ownership history and benefits from recent mechanical work and a service.

Born of Ford's desire to dominate Trans Am racing and outmuscle the Camaro Z/28, the Boss 302 represents that all-too-rare moment when corporate competition benefits the connoisseur. Visually striking with its purposeful hood scoop and distinctive stripes, it's the mechanical symphony beneath that truly captivates—a high-revving small-block masterpiece producing an official 290 horsepower (though period testers regularly found far more).
Unlike many muscle cars of the era that prioritized straight-line bravado, the Boss handles with remarkable poise, courtesy of larger sway bars, staggered rear shocks, and power steering that actually communicates with the driver.
One of less than 6 Boss 302's in South Africa
Recently exterior and mechanical refurbishment done, with an original interior.
