I was Converted by e30.de Seite’s many Conversion Guides/info/stories.. thus ensued our m30 Big-Six journey.. ~ The 3.5 motor, 160kW, from e24 BMW 635CSi was Installed in ‘Position 2’ with steel motor-mounts brought in from Alpina Germany; the big brakes, suspension, electric-seats, some bodywork, etc.. by, the then, AutoBarn in Woodstock CTown.. ~ The m88/3 motor, 218kW, from e23 745i later followed.. set between ‘Pos.2 & 3’.. with a Manual-Gearbox conversion, some more bodywork, etc.. ~ Current 3.5 motor, 155kW & 305Nm, Standard, from Known ‘92 e34 535i Auto; still ‘Pos.2/3’..the Alpina motor-mounts too short for later model m30b35.. same design & steel used; had a longer set plasma-cut & made-up.. Final Dyno-Tune was done on 09-05-2022, to Std.performance spec; a Run for shitz-’n-giggles Sans OEM Air-box made 159 & 314; Fyi: ‘Motor Pos.1, 2 & 3’ as referred to on e30.de Seite.. ‘Pos.1’ is as our Z.A. e30 333i ~ motor set/mounted farther forward, leaving zero Std.radiator space, so ‘assisting’ the 333i ‘nose-heavyness’. From the Front: ~ Pfeba Germany KBA-Type Imported Full body-kit; ABS moulded-plastic: two-piece front bumper-set c/w Pfeba KBA Scoop-intake; mounted with BMW clips.. ~ Bonnet was vented/slotted for m88/3 motor throttlebody intakes & out vents for the exhaust-manifold heat. ~ Mono wiper conversion.. used Left-Hand drive e30’s black-plastic wiper-grid/cover.. other wiper & plastic grid still available.. Window-washer bottle not replaced yet.. ~ Front Fenders: Flared/rolled & built-out in steel; the rears also; to accommodate larger wheels, complement side-skirts & slightly wider front wheel-base.. fr.fenders also vented/slotted to cure nose-lift that occurred at higher speeds.~ Engine Oil-Cooler from e23 745i; mounted below reinforced/braced lower radiator mounting-bracket; BMW 2-speed Cooling-AC Fan, High-speed override switched from→ *** {of your Known ‘Presentable’ economic Daily-Driver ‘Anything’?! ~ Value of up to around half..?!? against mine; R135k.Neg..?!?; with cash top-up..} Thank You.
