Medical Assistant required for a General Practitioner

General Practitioner is looking for a vibrant candidate to fill a full-time position of a medical assistant in a Durban South practice.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have previous work experience in a medical practice

Must have experience with handling medication

Have knowledge of medical billing

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook

Have good telephone etiquette

Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal)

Ability to work under pressure with good coordination skills

Have good organisation and be able to work in a fast paced environment

DUTIES:

Booking of appointments

Checking benefits with medical aids

Patient administration

Preparation of medical documents

Practice administration duties

Receiving of stock

Working with medication

Medical billing

Assisting with surgical procedures
