Management of Fleet Management System Statistics

fleet management reports and report findings to Operations Manager, including but not limited to –

• • driver debriefs
  • pre-trip inspections
  • load/order status on system
  • status of driver attendance, hours and kilometres sheets
  • monitor load turnaround times
  • status of pod’s

Fleet Control/Management of Subcontractor Loads

• • capture and update planned loads on the Fleet Management Systems.
  • ensure subcontractor/driver received their loading instructions and are aware of what is expected of them as well as informing them of any changes.
  • ensure that planned and scheduled loads are picked up and delivered on time as well as update stakeholders on progress and delays.
  • ensure that all POD and related are received on time and according to client specifications; and
  • liaise with subcontractor and client on progress, changes and to resolve any issues.

Key Performance Areas:

· · Oversee daily fleet operations and address any issues that arise to ensure smooth operation

· · Plan and track regular maintenance and servicing of vehicles to ensure they remain in good condition

· · Monitor and manage costs related to fuel, maintenance, repairs, and other fleet expenses

· · Assign and manage driver schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency

· · Evaluate driver performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency

· · Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance documentation

· · Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure safe vehicle operation

· · Use and manage fleet management software to track vehicle performance, maintenance schedules, and driver activities

· · Develop and implement procedures for handling vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and other emergencies

· · Address and resolve emergency situations to minimize disruption to fleet operations

· · Prepare reports on fleet performance, including metrics related to cost, efficiency, and safety

· · Handle administrative tasks related to fleet management, including filing and managing documentation
