DESCRIPTION

Main purpose of the Job:

-You will be responsible for daily operations including profitability, expense control, merchandising and regulatory compliance.

-Liase on an ongoing basis with DC & Suppliers on products, trends, competitors, quality/ quantity of stock.

-Controlling orders, deliveries, displays, in-store promotional activities, product knowledge, food safety training and wastage controls.

-Maintain costings and GP’s

-This Job requires ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient service to customers at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for daily operation ensuring the department are adequately staffed and stocked.

-Responsible for bakery operations, ensuring quality of products, service, cleanliness of the entire department and standards are maintained, including checking of expiry dates.

-Handles product as per SOP

-Identifies fast selling lines within store, and implications on margin and sales opportunities

-Ensure products are produced according to recipe specifications

Back up areas are kept clean and clear

-Monitors the adherence to food safety and health and safety standards are maintained

-Responds to customer requests and answers queries on out of stock

-Ensures that general maintenance standards are met

-Monitors turnover and identifies opportunities for increasing turnover, and identifies issues or barriers to achieving budgets

-Set targets and activities- priorities, delegates and communicates

-The ability to work under pressure in a retail environment

-Good communication, interpersonal and managerial skills

DESIRE SKILLS/WORK EXPERIENCE:

Matric

Minimum of 5 years experience in Retail

Ability to work retail hours

Salary is market related
