The mini-humbucker is a humbucking guitar pickup that resembles a PAF humbucker, but is narrower in size and senses a shorter length of string vibration. This produces clearer, brighter tones that are quite unlike typical humbucker sounds. It fits in between single-coils and full-sized humbuckers in the tonal spectrum.

Karman Hot Bridge AlNiCo 5 Strat Guitar Pickup (Single)

Karman pickups are high quality pickups that come to the consumer at an affordable price, now you can upgrade your entry level standard guitar pickups with something that sounds great without breaking the bank.

Karman Hot Pro AlNiCo 5 pickup is classic vintage looking sounding single-coil pickup that has a modern twist, it has a super hot over-wound coil which gives a DC output of 12k this is perfect for players who like a hotter bridge pickup to drive their amp when the bridge is selected for David Gilmour like solo’s. You still keep the chimey bright single-coil sound that cuts through a mix but with a more humbucker like output and drive.

To add to the vintage aesthetic of the pickups, the bobbins and flatwork are made with vulcanized fiber instead of plastic and the wires are cloth braided wire. The pole pieces are also staggered to better suit vintage radius necks that you find on Fender Strat or Squier (7.25 – 9.5”) if you have a more modern neck radius (10″ – 14″) which is common on Cort or Ibanez guitars then our Karman Classic Pro is normally the preferred option, it is the same quality pickup but with higher output and flat pole pieces instead of staggered. If you make use of a compressor then the stagger of the pole pieces isn’t really an issue.

Karman KR15 Dual Rail medium output AlNiCo 5 pickup (for any position)

Clear and bright tone, great for rock and heavy metal. If you want a very high output dual rail please see our other model, KR35. Or you could use KR15 for neck and middle and KR35 for bridge.

Karman Classic Pro AlNiCo pickups are classic sounding single-coil pickups that mimic the best strat pickups from the 60’s. The ultimate balance of defined low-end with no muddiness and crisp clear chimey bell-like highs that add lots of sparkle and spank to your chords. These pickups are rich in harmonics and natural sustain and due to their high output they sound great with over drive or distortion too.

To add to the vintage aesthetic of the pickups, the bobbins and flatwork are made with vulcanized fibre instead of plastic and the wires are cloth braided wire. The pole pieces are all even to better suit more modern necks with a radius of 10″ or more, if you have a more vintage style curved fret boards then our Karman Vintage Pro are normally better suited but this is all up to the players preference between staggered poles or flat, either will sound great.

Middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity.

Bridge pickup is slightly over wound for better balance.

All 3 positions have 52mm string spacing
