Description

A well-established transport, logistics & warehousing company based in Airport City CAPE TOWN is seeking a Fleet / Load Controller to join our dynamic team.


Fleet / Load controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Briefing and debriefing of drivers
  • Daily planning of trucks
  • Effective vehicle utilization
  • Routing and scheduling
  • Vehicle monitoring
  • Administration duties relevant to the department
  • Capturing of data
  • Compiling reports
  • Trouble shooting and resolve of issues that may accrue
  • Updating for loads
  • Liaise with loading and off-loading sites
  • Ensure that drivers hand in all documentation
  • Excellent organization skills required to manage tight deadlines

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a transport operations industry
  • Computer Literacy
  • Must have own reliable transport

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to interact well with a diversified team
  • Demonstrate high levels of quality and strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Build and maintain a good relationship with customers, internal and external
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with other departments of the organization.
