Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Support Technician to join our IT team. This role involves providing technical support to our client base and ensuring that all IT systems run smoothly. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with system maintenance, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line support to users via phone, email, and in-person for hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including network connectivity, hardware malfunctions, and software applications.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment such as computers, printers, and servers.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, solutions provided, and follow-up actions taken.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software systems, including Office 365 applications.
  • Monitor and maintain IT inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and in working order.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians on more complex issues and escalate problems when necessary.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and stay updated on new technologies.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge base to improve support processes.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common applications (Office Suite, web browsers).
  • Experience with Office 365 applications and administration is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in a helpdesk or IT support role is a plus but not required.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position; occasional overtime may be required.
  • May involve lifting and moving computer equipment.
  • A fast-paced environment with varying levels of technical challenges.
  • Your own reliable transport is advantageous.
