RELIABLE CARER WITH EXPERIENCE WITH FRAIL PATIENTS AND SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN. I SEEK PRIVATE POST

Good day My name is Patricia, a very skilled and hard-working care giver who trained at Chilton College and have an Elderly care Certificate including First Aid and CPR as well. I was very fortunate to get an attachment for my practicals and voluntary work and Murambi House Frail Care Center in Cape Town. During my shift, I nursed patients with various chronic conditions and included, dementia and Alzheimer's patients, patients in various cancer stages, frail and bed ridden patients, patients with lupus and Parkinson illness, post operated and physically disadvantaged patients etc. I conducted various duties which included: Bed changing in the mornings and cleaning surfaces. Changing nappies, bedpan on some patients and assisting other patient to shower. Assisting with full wash on patients and grooming needs Feeding patients who could not do for themselves. Checking vitals like sugar, temperature, pulse and sugar Helping nurses to dispense medication and observations. Providing patients with companionship and taking some out for exercises in the sun etc From 2017 to 2023, I have been employed a full time position in Fishhoek as carer. I took excellent care of their frail 82-year-old grandparent who had mild dementia and needed special attention at all times. My duties involved cleaning her room, performing full wash and grooming needs, assisting with continence needs, assistance with making meals and feeding, ensuring she takes her medication on time, helping with doctor visitations, checking her vitals like bloop pressure, sugar and temperature etc I also simultaneously took care of they son who had special needs from when he was 9 months old till he turned 5 years old. I managed the daily needs of the child making sure he is safe, well fed and following all doctors instructions.
