My two cats, Cupcake and Marauder, are in desperate need of dental surgery. I am selling everything I have of value to try to raise the funds - Berlinger Haus Kitchenware and a Beechwood Tresle Table and 4 Foldable Chairs - but no-one seems interested in buying, so now I am unashamedly begging here.
They are in excruciating pain and we are struggling to get them to eat. They are losing so much weight and I can smell the rot on their breaths.
So far I have gathered R2'000, however I need another R5'000 by the end of this month (June 2025) as our vet, Brackenhurst Veterinarian Hospital, has an annual special where dental surgery is half price for the month of July. The costs are roughly R3'000 for the surgery per cat and then an additional R1'000 for special food during their recovery month.
Both myself and my husband are unemployed and living with my Father-In-Law who is a Pensioner. My Brother-In-Law is also unemployed and also living here, so we are 4 people surviving on one pension. There is no way for us to afford this surgery at full price and my Babies won't make it another year in this condition, so this has to happen next month or they will die.
