Vehicle is fully defender chassis, coil spring suspension, diffs etc with series 3 body and series 2a gearbox. Which gives the capability and reliability of the defender with the charm and looks of the old series 3. Roof can also be taken off and window folded down for an experience that can’t be had in a factory defender. Chassis is fully galvanised from the factory so no rust at all.

The motor is in excellent condition, was fully rebuilt a few years ago and has done 2500kms since then. Turbo was removed after rebuild and not added back since then but I have all the parts, pipes and fittings to put the turbo back.

The landy has been reliable and always exciting to drive, it gives a sense of adventure as soon as you’re behind the wheel and also draws a crowd wherever you drive it. Recently driven from East London to PE as well as PE to storms river and back just last week. Cruises surprisingly well on the highway and happy to sit at 100kmh with no issues and the diesel is economical on fuel. Has 4x4 with low and high range and Maxxis bighorn tyres making it very capable offroad.

Has a few slow leaks from the steering box and gearbox and normal wear and tear but drives with no mechanical problems at all. All wiring was fully redone and all the electrics work with no issues (which is unheard of for an old landy).
