I've recently switched from analog to digital to reduce the weight of the gear I have to carry at gigs (and thereby save my back, which is not in good shape). I'm therefore getting rid of a lot of stuff:* Mackie 1604VLZ4 analog mixing desk. This is the Porsche of small format mixing desks. It's built like a tank (and weighs almost as much) and sounds absolutely brilliant. Everything works perfectly except there's a strange problem where the stereo return is not passing through to Aux 1 (which you can work around). This might just be because it needs a clean. Includes a custom made flight case (which cost me ~R3k) and an LED boom light that fits the socket on the desk. This is not really a beginner's desk --- read the manual before buying. Retails for R18-22k brand new, except good luck finding one ...* Proel EBN2408 24 IN / 8 OUT stage audio box / snake. 25m length. High quality XLR gold-plated contacts panel mount NEUTRIK connectors. I tested it today with a cable tester: Every channel works perfectly. Retails for R15k+ brand new.* 2 x DBX 1231 stereo 1/3 octave graphic equalizer. I bought one of these brand new (excellent condition) and the other second hand (from Golden Circle in Cape Town; very good condition). They both work perfectly. Each unit retails for R6k+ brand new.* DBX 266XL stereo compressor/gate. Battered and scratched (the sticker says it was manufactured 2006) but works perfectly. The two channels can be operated independently or coupled.* Alesis Nanoverb 2: This is a small multifx unit that's focused on reverb but also includes delay, chorus, flanger, etc. I bought it as a backup for my main reverb unit (which I'm not selling) and wound up using it only once. Excellent condition.
