Qualifications:

• Trade qualification in Fitting and Turning (e.g., Trade Test Certificate or NQF Level 4).
• Extra training or certificates in turbine or compressor assembly (advantageous but not required).

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• At least 8 years of experience in mechanical assembly work.
• Experience working with motors, pumps, turbines, compressors, gearboxes, and bearings.
• Knowledge of working with precision parts in a workshop or factory setting.
• Ability to use mechanical tools like micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches.
• Experience reading technical drawings and following instructions.
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on doing quality work.
• Understanding of safety rules in the workplace.
