POSITION

Fundraising & Donor Relations Officer

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or relevant certification is an advantage).

Proven experience in fundraising and donor relations within a nonprofit organisation.

Demonstrated success in securing grants and building corporate partnerships.

Fundraising and proposal writing skills.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Experience with donor management software.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Public speaking and presentation experience.

Integrity and transparency in fundraising practices.

Passion for the mission of The Salvation Army.

A valid driver’s license and police clearance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (inter alia)

Research & Applications: Identify potential donors and write targeted applications to secure funding.

Corporate Partnerships: Develop sponsorship proposals and pitches for corporate partners.

Donor Relations: Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing donors and corporate sponsors.

Data Management: Manage donor records and ensure accuracy in the donor database.

Fundraising Events: Organize or assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events.

Reporting: Create compelling reports for donors and internal departments.

Innovative Fundraising: Suggest and implement innovative fundraising ideas.

Collaboration: Work with the Digital Marketing Officer and other departments to align fundraising and communications efforts.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

R312 000.00 to R360 000.00 per annum (Cost to Company)
