Senior Bookkeeper Required Urgently

Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to manage the financial records for a diverse portfolio of companies within our growing group. This full-time, office-based role requires direct client interaction and close collaboration with various financial managers across the business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing timely financial reporting.
The position entails performing various bookkeeping / accounting functions. The successful candidate will benefit from on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage all bookkeeping functions for assigned companies within the group.
· Maintain accurate financial records, including the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
· Reconcile accounts, process payroll, manage accounts payable/receivable, and prepare tax returns.
· Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
· Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of financial matters.
Support the financial managers with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Qualifications/Technical Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Experience with Pastel and/or Sage software packages will be an advantage.
· Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.

· Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
