Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our team at The Joburg Caterer. The Chef will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation in our kitchen, as well as creating high-quality dishes that meet the standards and expectations of our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, as well as a strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and high-quality standards
- Manage food preparation processes
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food costs and maintain inventory levels
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar setting
- Culinary degree or certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Full valid driving license (an advantage)
