School Groundsman Vacancy

Zwaanswyk Academy School is an exciting, fast-paced environment seeking

to employ a honest and reliable Groundsman. The chosen candidate will

have a hands-on approach and should be well accustomed to a fast-paced

school environment. Position is permanent with a salary of R 7000.00 pm.

Available to start immediately

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance of the campus

• Clean/maintain all areas across the campus

• Complete facilities or maintenance requests such as plumbing,

electrical, gardening, etc

• Report all repair needs to the foreman

• Keep an eye on stock levels of consumables

• Store and maintain tools for maintenance.

• Provide general support on security, access control and traffic

management across the campus.

• Provide support for extracurricular activities/events if needed

Garden Maintenance

• Clean and maintain the gardens and sports fields

• Store and maintain tools for gardening.

• Basic landscaping

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required:

• Valid Code 10 driver’s license.

• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position.

Must haves:

• Have an eye for cleanliness and neatness

• Able to work under pressure

• Willing to be part of a hard-working team

• Personal commitment to education, safety of learners and a

willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.

• Presentable and respectful with good communication skills.

• A clear criminal record.
