Our reputable FMCG Retail client is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join their team in Umhlanga, Durban. Salary: R 12000.00 CTC + Commission KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) STORE TARGET AND PERSONAL TARGETUPI (UNITS PER TRANSACTION)CONVERSION RATECOMPLIANCE WITH POLICIES AND PROCEDUREMAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONALISM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE (FERRARI EXPERIENCE)VISUAL APPEAL / MERCHANDISING OF STORE 100 %  Purpose of the Job: Providing excellent customer service to clients, performing all activities associated with selling, stocking, and ordering merchandise. The incumbent is target-driven in order to reach maximum sales. Requirements:MatricBasic Knowledge of arithmeticComputer literate2-3 years experience in retail2-3 years experience in a leadership role within retailGood communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new ideasHigh level of organisationGood team-working skillsTarget driven.Self-motivatedAdaptabilityStress management Responsibilities:Shop/ Store Maintenance: Participate in the day-to-day running of the store.Ensure the store and displays are clean and tidy at all times.Receiving deliveries, unpacking, and re-shelving or storing stock on the manager’s instructionReplenishing shelvesAssist with regular stock checks and stock takes.Assist in changing displays of shop stock.Being vigilant at all times and help minimize stock loss. Sales/ Transactions: Operating the till and accurately handling cash/ card transactions under the Manager’s supervision or instructionAssist with cashing up procedures.Meeting sales targets on a weekly/ monthly basis Customer Service:Assisting customers with locating merchandise, offering advice, answering queries or concernsKeeping up to date with product knowledgeInforming the public of any sales or new stockConstantly update customer base General: Opening and Closing of the StoreRefer any issues regarding customer care to the Store ManagerHousekeepingAdhere to Health and Safety practices/ codes.Adhere to Company policies and procedures.Any ad-hoc duties as required from time to time.Please take note: if you have not been contacted within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
