Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a qualified diesel mechanic at Short's commercial vehicles located in George. As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining diesel engines and other components of commercial vehicles. You will perform regular inspections, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety of the vehicles.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Qualified Commercial Vehicle Diesel Technician
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicles, electrical systems, and fuel systems
• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in UD Trucks is preferred
• 2-5 years experience
• Flexibility to do standby work
